Fraser River Fishing Report

Fraser River Fishing Report for July 19, 2010.

Fishing report, July 18, 2010

Fraser River – We were out on opening day for salmon fishing and we managed to hook on to 9 Spring salmon, unfortunately we were only able to keep one because of the slot limit. The majority of the fish were over 77cm. Overall the salmon fishing on the Fraser River is very good. Sturgeon fishing on the Fraser is starting to pick up, on average we are getting between 3 to 5 fish day. The river is still very high, but once the river drops which should be in a week or so the Sturgeon fishing will be amazing.

Vedder River – Water conditions are prefect and there’s lots of fish in the system. My assistant guide was out on Saturday July 17th and manage to hook 2 springs, and he saw another 4 hooked by other fisherman. Roe was the prefer bait. If you want a good chance at getting a spring on the Vedder River make sure you get there at first light. There is also Sockeye in the system too, so make sure you release them because there’s no retention.
